Actually, I thought some of the comments made toward CORDWOODGUY were a little harsh. He got flamed pretty good. Some people questioned some stuff and,in the process derided his "expertise" but I think he brought some of that on himself by thumping his own chest so much with his experience, which I will not take anything away from. (He's certainly got more than me in that area).
I do enjoy this board, but decided to count the ones I visit and its over 30 (various car, home, building, engineering, tractor, horse, IT, news, politics, etc.) some more frequently than others. I don't consider myself a major board surfer, so I guess it's possible that someone that is retired and spends most of their day surfing could hit over a hundred. It's irrelevant to me anyway.
I try and separate the "wheat from the chaff" on most things I read on boards anyway. I wouldn't call his post "absurd", however, just a little venting. I've seen worse on other boards. On many boards, I just ignore posts by people whose previous posts have not interested me or I considered obnoxious, trivial, whatever. Kind of like watching TV. There's lots of crap that I complain about and my daughter just says "Don't watch it then". (Smart girl)
