is PVC pipe in well ok to use?

Hi, I have just discovered that the well company inserted 61 meters of 18 cm PVC piping down the newly drilled well.
Is PVC ok to use for drinking water? and is it usual practice to use PVC inwells? Thank you.

I prefer H2O for drinking water.

PVC is fine to use.

That is all they use in this part of the country. It never rust. I have two wells they both have 300 ft of PVC in them.
