I do not live on my land and I do not have electricity there. I would like to have a well there with a hand pump. Not very deep, 100 feet ought to do it. The good thing is there are no rocks, just clay down to sand. I see those well digging contraptions in Mother Earth News, but they are more expensive than paying someone. I thought this might be an interesting project for me. Has anyone ever dug their own well? How did you do it? Any advice?
