Pond Leak
      08/22/05 07:02 AM

I thought I had got the groundhog digging in the pond bank, but apparently another moved in. The leak isn't a gusher, but the water level is a couple of feet down. This is a new one for me...What are the options? After the eviction of course.

You can have it good, quick or cheap. Pick 2.

Adron,

Groundhog or muskrat? Around here, it's always the latter. Haven't heard of a groundhog doing pond bank digging as they would probably drown. Whichever it is, eviction is key and keep an eye out for more coming.

The best thing I've found/used for plugging pond holes is bentonite. You should be able to find it at most any place that digs water wells or places that would supply that industry.

Brian
