Wow, you got more snow than we got! Ours is just little patches here and there, with lots of brown ground sticking out in between.

John - your scene reminds me of the years when we lived in Ohio. We were even there in the blizzards of the late 70's.

I generally rake the last three feet free of snow to prevent ice dams. For this particular structure I keep hoping the roof will collapse so I can increase the pitch and make the switch to metal roofing. If it doesn't happen soon I might have an accident with the backhoe!

It looks like it's behind, but it's actually in that corner of the shop. I have a boiler plate woodstove in there to keep the shop warm. Wood tends to shatter at 10 below.
