The Farm
      07/30/03 06:16 AM Attachment

Some pictures of what I call "The Farm"

Typically of all farms it eats money and labour but this one does not produce any product other than wild deer feed.

The work was all done by our Kubota B7100.

A picture at the bottom of the hill. Shows drainage trench and the start of a garden deer fence. It's not neat but should work. Hopefuly the zig-zag pattern will keep the fence standing after the post rot.

Turnaround area for the truck and trailer. I can drive in and then backup around to the bottom of the hill. The rocks behind and beside the tractor were all picked while tilling. Usually in 30c + temps.

The ground level behind and beside the tractor is an indication of the amount of dirt removed to make the area a little more level.

Great looking place Egon, and quite a rock pile! How far away from your home is this and how often do you get to visit? Is the fence to keep the deer in or out

Rye crop that will be tilled under end of august and used as green manure prior to planting clover next spring.

Rob:

The land comprizes of 68 acres mostly treed [ Much lumber quality] with 2500 feet of waterfront an a small lake. It's 40 kilometers from home. I spend about two weeks a mounth out there. The other two weeks recovering. The fence will hopefully enclose a small garden and allow room for some experimental growing that will hopefully be safe from the deer.
