We have three Tennessee Walkers, an Arabian and an Haflinger. The Walkers are show horses, the Arabian is for gaming and the Haflinger is retired in place.

Thoroughbred (ex-racehorse). Will probably get a few quarter-horses down the road, but right now we're paying to board our big "pet", so more than 1 is cost-prohibitive until we get a place built.

Are you aware of countrybynet's sister sites at http://www.horsesbynet.com/forums/gforum.cgi and http://www.tractorbynet.com/ There's certainly nothing wrong with posting information about horses here on countrybynet but I thought you might find the other sites interesting as well.

Bird, thanks for the links. I popped over to horsesbynet.com and signed up. Site looks cool but with not a lot of activity, at first glance. I'll be going through the site tonite (after trick-or-treaters come through). Jerry

Hi! I'll add my horses to the mix. I have a paint/percheron(Thunder) who thinks he's a puppy, and as morgan/thoroughbred(Lightning). Unfortunaltely, I think the morgan/tb is gonna have to go to a new home --as he's too nervous and skittish for us.
Any suggestions on a breed for a barn mate for Thunder? We're looking for a calm trail horse. Not sure what to get to replace Lightning.

I have three horses at the moment, one reg. Morgan mare and a reg. Quarter Horse mare and her foal. The Morgan mare is 21 years old and my Quarter Horse mare is 8 years old. Her baby is a day old in this picture.

Regardless of my log in name, we only have one quarter horse right now. A 24 year old Impressive bred bucksking dun stud.
The other eleven are all Arabians. One stud, two geldings and eight mares.
Plus, we have our granddaughters paint-palamino mare.
(Send money, ha!)
