Hi there,

Went to the pound thinking I was picking up a mutt but it ended up being a 6 mo. old purebred. We have a lab/deerhound mix that is 7 years old. We picked up our first dog from the pound but she was already potty trained (11 mos). She had some barking/digging issues but straightened out fairly quickly. We've had the pup for 2 weeks but there are some habits we can't seem to stop. He jumps at the window and door everytime he's outside even when he's with the other dog. He seems to have good control so his house training is going well but then once in a while even after just being out...he'll pee on the floor (not even on the paper). Final thing is he chews everything even though we bought him a bunch of chew toys. The pound didn't know much about him because he was found as a stray and he was extremely skinny. I know they said he would be high strung but he has a lot of room to run. How can we stop these other problems?Any help is appreciated as we are starting to wonder if we have the time to put in to this 2nd dog.
