Don't know where I read about it but ran across wood treatment somewhere you apply yourself instead of using pressure treated lumber. Any one know anything about it or better yet used it Thanks ken

There isn't anything that comes close to doing the job that pressure treatment will do, IMO. There are numerous brush, spray, or paint-on treatments that are short term at best. Pressure treating will put the chemicals into the sapwood where it is needed to protect the wood from decay. Heartwood doesn't take treatment, but has some natural decay resistance. Although that isn't even as good as the pressure treated sapwood. Hope this helps.
