selling hay - LOTS of hay
      07/26/07 07:06 AM

Hi Folks-

I am looking for some contacts to sell a few thousand bales of hay from SW PA. My brother-in-law has a farm, but doesn't get to his computer much. If you or anybody that you know might be interested, please send me a message.

Thanks!

twodogs,

Read my post about hay under homesteading. Depending on the type and quality, you should have no problem selling your hay. The horse "crowd" will pay very well for good quality timouthy or orchard grass hay.

There are several weekly auctions here in PA. Mostly, the sellers show up with pickup to grain dump size loads with negotiable delivery charges depending on distance.

The race tracks consume copious amounts as do some of the larger horse facilities.

You would do even better if you could establish a connection in New Jersey.

Wish I could store a thousand bales.
