Yo, chicken people...

Please see my 2 part question in Barns/ Buildings. I'm planning a chicken coop. (The poultry world will never be the same.)

Cool. You're a lot further ahead in your chicken venture than I am. I'm still in the research phase and trying to tie up a couple other projects I need to finish before starting another one. I think I read somewhere though, that you should have some low roosts to start chicks on. Also, if you have a dropping pit or removable shelf below their roost it will make cleanup a lot easier.
Nice shed/coop!

I followed your discussions with interest, Fred. I was asking myself the same questions. I figured if they all get eaten, well, I got a nice little storage building available for other uses. I said I wouldn't get attached to them or name these girls, but there's already Red, Whitey and "the Runt". So far, no illnesses. I guess we'll see what happens.

If it's got a name it's a keeper!
