Electrified Field Fence?

This may be odd, but can you electrify a run of field fence instead of say running two strands of electric fence wire?

I have the field fence up already, just wondering if it is possible or not enough juice from chargers?

You can electrify field fence if it was installed on insulators/standoffs from the posts...if it is nailed directly to the posts...can you say "dead short"??

I'd just run a wire on insulators on the top for large critters...on the bottom for pigs..
