Polishing Silver
      03/07/08 12:41 AM

My wife wondered today how silver was polished prior to all these harsh chemical options. Anyone remember? I figured it was a cloth and elbow grease.

Best Regards,
Highsmith

If one adheres to the life depicted in Agatha Christies novels the Butler was in charge of the Maids and one would be assigned the job of hand polishing the silver and plate on a very regular basis.

Very simple. Take some lemon juice add some salt to it. Rub gently.
