Well, the house is still not completely finished ( http://www.countrybynet.com/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Board/barns/Number/32597/page/0/view/collapsed/sb/5/o/all/fpart/1 ) but we need to get the barn going. National Barn did the shell for the barn that became our house and I was really pleased with the job. With that in mind I contracted for them to do this one, however, this time they will be doing the concrete and overhead doors too.
Well Friday they dropped off the materials and said that a crew would be here Monday morning. (weather permitting)
I did the grading and leveling with my little Iseki TS 1610, as I have done all the rest of the work around here with.

Now to wait for the concrete crew and the overhead door installers to arrive ...supposedly within a week. I am now busy digging and laying pipe for the bathroom.
Just a shot showing the house and barn .... matched set!

I'd say they've had a little experience and practice.

I beleive so Bird. 4 person crew, 3 men and a woman, less than 10 working hours. The office here in Tennessee has 17 crews.

Very nice! It's amazing how fast they can do put that up.
From here it looks like a quality job as well.

Thanks twstanley, I am very satisfied with their work, of course now I am waiting for the cement and the doors, hopefully within the next week or two. The rest of the work will be a bit slower going as I need to pace the finances. I spent late yesterday and early today digging the trenching inside for the plumbing, trying to get it ready before the cement work. Plan to put in a full bathroom, but that may well be several months down the road.

Who did you use? And do you know if they work in western NC? You barn looks awesome, would love to see an inside shot once you get your floor poured. Also how many sq feet do you have?

Oops, sorry for the delay. They finally finished the doors and the floor about 2 weeks ago, but we are babysitting a couple of 2 year olds for a while so I have not had a chance to get pics. Will do soon. We used National Barn (eastern division) out of Portland Tn. They do work in NC also, but they don't send the concrete crews that far. They have a website http://nationalbarn.com/eastern/ you can request a price quote online. I highly recommend them. If you look at my other post barn or house, they did that one too, of course I finished it.

What's your specs on that building? Very nice job and very quick. Would like to see pics of how you run your wiring when you get that far. Great building.
