Insulating a Barn
      08/05/05 12:28 PM

Hi there,

We are going to convert our barn into a music recording studio. We were thinking of insulating with spray insulation to get every nook and cranny. Just wondering if anyone has done spray insulation against the walls of a steel building and how it went.

spray insulation is a pretty easy process. You just have to decide what gets sprayed. This is pretty much a no brainer.

Acousticaly I'm not sure what you'll get because it will such up most all the sound and so there won't be much you can do with non amplified instruments. I would like to suggest you do a little more on line research before you commit.

Hi cowboyjg,

We'd like the room fairly dead. We'll definitely do some research.

Thanks.
