If you haven't yet, pick up a copy of the "Post-Frame Building Handbook". It is a NRAES publication and can be obtained from Midwest Plans Service or possibly your local cooperative extension office. The book does a real good job of stepping through the pole building process from site work through finishing.

Rent a Rought Terrain scissor lift. This is the tool for putting a barn up quick. Great for setting the trusses and getting the roof work done.

Also, I'd use laminated posts instead of solid PT posts.

If you tell us the use you might get more suggestions.

Hey Troy,
Don't know what your walls will be but build your door and window headers from 2x12 with 1/2" plywood between. This will give additional strength and make correct thickness matching 2x4 studded wall. Assuming your roof is steel, start you first panel away from prevailing wind so your finished roof is like fish scales to the wind. Start roof low and work high. I agree with AndyFs' book suggestion. You can also find good material at Lowes/ H.Depot concerning barns and outbuildings. I put Pella Proline windows in the house a few years back and they just slip into a box-framed opening, no flange, add inside/outside trim...done. When framing in your walk door, run the sill plate 2x across the opening as you build the wall. Frame in the door, then with wall nailed in place cut out the plate. This assures plumb. Framing an overhead door not necessary to do this. Use roll up/canister doors which take up less overhead room then garage type sectional. Ensure you have good slope away from building or the sliding doors have tendancy to drag and push dirt.
Hope your project goes well, remember, lift with your legs and don't twist....
God bless
roy
