Are these holes from rust?
Othewise perhaps lots of silicone and time spent daubing the holes may work.

I used tar in the fall on my used sheet metal shed roof. That last until the first real day of summer!
I now do nothing as the holes are on the peaks of the ribs in the metal and hardly any water gets in (I never notice any wet spots)

I think they are from rust. Snow and rain gets in. Thanks guys.

Sounds like its time for a new roof. If you have multiple leaks due to rust, you're just delaying the inevitable by trying to patch the leaks.

You could buy a little time with asphalt emulsion (Fields is a good brand) Buy the stuff that is about $5 a gallon.

If the holes are all in the tops of the ribs, the tin probably started its life on a different roof and those are just old nail holes. If that is the case, the roof might have a lot of years left in it and the holes, well, just live with 'em!

I've had good luck with a temporary fix using foil type self adhesive tape that they use on heat ducts.
