We do here.

Sidewalls up to 16 feet are common here. Last one I saw made into a house had 12 foot sidewalls with a floor hung 4' off the ground leaving a crawl space.

It's done all the time. Look at morton buildings website. They do alot of home additions, homes, businesses, etc. on pole barn framing.

I am currently building a Morton building. 36 X72 with a 36 X 30 apartment inside. The sidewalls will be 11 feet with vaulted tresses. Morton is building the structure, the mechanicals, and the insulation. I am finishing the rest. When considering this think of insurance and building codes. Those are the biggest obstacles I have had. In addition, be sure you contractor knows how to insultate metal building walls or you will have a mold factory, not a house. As Cowboy C said, go to www.mortonbuildings.com and you will see several examples of what they can do. Good luck.

The slower you go, the faster you get there!
