Radiant heat for uninsulated barn???
      07/14/03 01:50 PM

Can radiant heat be used effectively in an uninsulated barn?? Existing pole barn is 32x54. Framing, insulating, and finishing will be $$$. Would radiant heat be a less expensive solution?? Heats objects...cars...tractors...dogs..people..other stored "stuff"..etc. The barn will be used for dog training in the winter months. Thanks, Chuck

I think it would work ok. The air you breathe in is still cold, but it does heat up objects pretty well. Insulation wouldn't be much of a factor in this case since you arent directly heating the air anyway.
