What flowers do you plant first?

Spring bulbs? What are they? When do you plant them? I'm thinking tulips and daffodils but I already have a lot of them. I want to plant a lot of flowers this year and I want them to be perennials.

Tulips and daffodils bloom in the spring, but they have to be planted the prior fall. They need the freeze over the winter for the bulbs to develop into plants. There are some bulbs that can be planted in the early spring for blooming in summer.
