    Default Grass Dying

I am in Georgia and I guess the heat is killing our grass but just in patches. This is our first home of our own so I am not sure what to do. Is there anything we can do to keep the grass from dying? We have had a pretty good rain at least once or twice a week so I don't think it's lack of water.

Are the patches in shadded areas or those areas that may get too little or too much water when the rain comes? This happened when I lived in a townhome in the city and it was a pure pain to try and treat.

Brown patches can have many causes. Certain bugs and fungi can cause brown patches in your grass. I read somewhere about a product you could get to spray on the lawn that turns the brown patches green almost instantly. I don't remember what it was called and am not even sure it actually works.
